Although spray paint may be a better alternative as it won't give a thick coat. Therefore, it won't insulate the heat inside of the case. However, I think if you properly masked all parts that aren't receiving paint with a proper removable tape to completely prevent and adhesion to any part that wasn't intended to be tinted you should be able to safely paint your equipment without taking it apart. WebI feel like this is a bit of a double edged sword, on one hand it somewhat insulates heat and might cause components to de-solder themselves or short them somehow. On the other hand, this almost creates a protective coating that will repel anything that might corrode components.
